This spot required us to purchase the props and decor for a variety of set ups on the North Island Navy Base in Coronado. We purchased several sizes and styles of American Flags, researched military triage props used for a disaster/rescue scene, and made a dozen paper flags that needed to look like schoolchildren had made them. We also consulted with Navy personnel on authenticating the proper use of any props I brought in.

We provided greens to dress several outdoor scenes, and used plastic cups (from China!) to create an American flag on a chain link fence. We also provided smoke effects for a beach scene.  To keep communications open with the crew and the director, I created and organized an Art Department  Media Cloud so that all research, prop photos, and ideas could be easily accessed by everyone.
